Facebook fan pictures

Colonial Williamsburg has a nice idea for their Facebook page: they asked for fans to post their favorite springtime pictures from Williamsburg, and they're picking some to use on a rotating basis as their profile picture. Full disclosure, my photo is their current profile picture, so I may be a little biased. But even if they hadn't picked it, I would have enjoyed posting my photos. Nearly everyone who offered their pictures got several "Likes" and comments, both from CW and other fans, which is proof of the friendly and involved community CW has created on their Facebook page. I also like the trust and respect CW shows to their fans with this approach: trust that we are capable of producing plenty of excellent shots of their site, and respect in that they're letting us, not their professional photographers, represent them on their fan page.
